Grassy Mountain View Cabin Cohutta Forest Ellijay

Upon arrival the driveway was washed out and very steep. Had trouble getting up the driveway to the front door. Finally got In and the WiFi instructions on listing were the old ones. A new system has been installed and we had no idea. You also can’t make outgoing calls, we had to look up how to make WiFi calls. When I reached out I was told yes no cell service, if I have an emergency and need to get in touch with anyone back home, I could message them through FB. The hot tub was in terrible shape. Completely unusable. We own a pool business and tried to help them out and clean up but it was so terrible all the scum in it stuck to the sides. Like dead skin cells, oils, algae, etc. We ended up buying chemicals and treating and then just draining adding fresh water and the treating. All the outdoor furniture was dirty. You can tell the property managers do not ever visit and keep up with it like they should. Could be a great listing if the neglect were not an issue.

Upon arrival at the cabin, we were unsure if we were at the correct location. It was not at all in the shape that is pictured in their listing photos. The outside was very overgrown (appeared as if it had not been cared for in months) and the driveway was completely washed out. Once we got inside, it looked clean at first glance and the view from the back porch was stunning. I was willing to overlook the outside at first, but after staying 3 nights and using dishes/pots/pans for cooking, it was evident that the hosts don’t tend to this property as they should. We had to wash every dish, pot, and pan we used. It was not clean inside the cabinets and there was stuck-on-food left on most of the utensils and dishes. I do appreciate the prompt responses from the host when they were contacted, but this is not a place I would recommend staying unless some changes are made on the cleaning and upkeep side of things.
